I cant help but notice the vast amount of this was relied upon by one author. While your public service ..in spirit.. cannot be discounted may I remind you it is like a spoiled child to think that god is capable of leaving anyone alone to think you are so special to be left out at all. Also that hell is just what exsists between the fears and mass hysteria of man. Hell is not of God and God is everything beyond what you and everyone on this tiny earth can comprehend or beleave.

I'll have to disagree Taylor, this site isn't "good" it's okay, it's not too interesting, the music isn't too hot, it's full of assumptions and unprovable "true" information. God may exist, Jesus may have been his son, Shiva may be wondering who the hell this yahweh guy is people are worshipping, buddha may be living next door to you, that neighbour who always smiles and waves at you every morning....who knows? I'm no atheist, but my religion is mine, what matters is how I as a person

conduct myself. So many deaths, so much support for killing, all in the name of religion. How many "good christians" do I know supporting the death in Iraq? I assure you no less than the number of radical islamists supporting those who are killing our brothers and sisters over there.

Yet another christian who has confused this place for a prostelitzing soapbox. Worst of all, you're falling back on the dark age tactic of talking about fire and brimstone as a reason one should be christian.
September 24th, 2006
(0)
Repent, heathens!1one Fire and brimstone is a terrible way to evangelize, if that is indeed what you're trying to do. I'll give it 2 stars for the obvious time and effort you put into it; I trust your motives are pure, but I can't condone your method.

The Bible is not only an altered, fictional book but has stolen stuff from other religions.

I've seen that cutting edge site before. They say that Harry Potter is out to kill us all and that George Bush is the Antichrist. I'd take anything they say with a dump-truck of salt.

It really doesn't prove anything. Hundreds or even thousands of people wouldn't need to know eachother and conspire in order to all see the same thing when near death because everyone is familiar with what Hell is supposedly like. Also, if near death, the brain releases chemicals licken to downer substances, meaning they would get visions of hopelessness. These visions are a part of human evolution, necessary to convince fellow people in a life-and-death situation to be disturbed by them and move on.

""To speak his thoughts is every freeman's right, in peace and war, in council and in fight." -HOMER, The Iliad" YOU CAN'T QUOTE HIM.HE IS A NON-CHRISTIAN UNTERMENSCH UNDER YOUR TERMS. F*g.

September 24th, 2006
(0)
No, YOU SUCK BALLS, f*ckin downvoter. Anyways, back to the point. These atheists can't just dismiss these testimonies as merely illusions of a dying brain. It would be retarded to do so, as I believe most of these testimonies are true evidence of an afterlife, and a bad one without Jesus.
September 24th, 2006

Who the crapf*ck is S.B. Shaw? All of these accounts are compiled by him, that immediately makes me highly suspicious of how "varied" these accounts are.

"These atheists can't just dismiss these testimonies as merely illusions of a dying brain. It would be retarded to do so, as I believe most of these testimonies are true evidence of an afterlife, and a bad one without Jesus." And i guess it isn't retarded to believe in magical demons torturing you. Srsly, you internetevangelists need to get a life. Oh yeah, and that Voltaire story, complete Bull. Thanks for trying.

oohhh, that spooky music and that bunch of unsubstantiated stories about 'skeptiks' of some tired nonsense from 2000 years ago with no substantial physical reporudcable evidence really scared me, I should become christian (and not muslim or any other monolithic religion because they're not THE TRUE religion.) Please tell me mr. dipsh*t, If your 'god' really created us, why did he create us in such a way that we can question his existence or any statement that is not accompanied by evidence or proof?
September 24th, 2006
(0)
If all your theories about afterlife are true how come you can't prove them? How come you don't have the slightest of evidence to show us when it comes to showing 'proof'? How come you are so strongly rejecting all other explanations of existance other than yours without providing solid reproducable physical evidence? Why the f*ck on earth should I or any other sane person have any REASON to believe you? People experience illusion all the f*cking time, it's a psychological condition asswipe!

September 24th, 2006
(0)
And if we were made to obey god all the time, why did he create us in a way to be more than such a being? Why do we have freedom of thought and action (at least only constainted by physical factors?) Why didn't he just make us obidient so that we just shut our mouths and serve his purpose? However, if he created us to have all sorts of freedom and order us to obey him, then is he an attention whore and a sadist? Burning and torturing people who don't obey him and loving the ones who do?

Man, I'm a Christian. I've even enjoyed some of your pro Christianity debates previously. But this one is just plain irresponsible. "Mr. N and Mr. W"? "A youth in Sheffield"? "An inifidel in Michigan"? If you can't offer facts as evidence then your argument can't be taken seriously. It's a joke now.

September 24th, 2006

Great YTMND, BUT... I would have used Unbeliver instead of Infadel. I know they are two words for the same thing but we're Christian not Islamic. People associate the word Infidel with Islamic Extremism and therefore put any sentance you use it in out of their heads and dismiss it as a psychotic rambling. So if you want to make a noteworthy point like you have done here use a word more people will "get along" with.
September 24th, 2006

Wow, nothing constitutes proof like the stories of agonized dying people. I'm convinced! (I 3'd some of your other stuff, but the substance of this one doesn't deserve 3.)

You f*cking homo! Get the hell out of here with your religous bullsh*t. You are a dumb, brainwashed pig. Don't you think it's possible that after years of being told about hell, these people where just the slight bit afriad becuase of some propoganda bullsh*t thats been washed down there throats. Is it possible that they where afraid that, what if, they thought the theings being told to them might just be true? You and the other natzis that sponsored this site need to be banned and reeducated.

I would one this, seeing as YTMND is no place for religion, unless it be for the reasons of humor, but it was very well made. The way the slides transitioned to each other was amazing at the least. But alas, you fail because of reasons previously stated in the various comments above thi one.

Though I don't believe in the potential message in this, I always enjoy an intelligent submission about the great unknown. Keep making sites like these, there will always be downvoters but every filmmaker (even the famous ones) have their haters!

please, all you chiristians who waste your time here vainly trying to convert us "infidels": GIVE IT UP! NO ONE IS GOING TO SECOND GUESS THEIR BELIEFS BECAUSE SOME RANDOM ZEALOT USES FLAWED LOGIC AND BIASED SOURCES! G I V E I T U P!!!! but nicely made.

I believe in God, spiritually and a higher power. What I do not believe in is the idea that a kind and loving god would knowlingly allow the children he loves to suffer for all eternity. When a parent punishes a child its so they learn from their mistakes and grow as people. Eternal punishment is not teaching, its tortue. Hell is an idea created by man to keep other people in line. Its a form of scare tactics used to extort money and loyality from people in the form of organized religion.

September 24th, 2006

This type of thing is the very reason christianity is dying. Christians are using the same scare tactics they've used for the past 500 years in a time where there less to be scared of. Instead of trying to be loving, and caring as they always claim is their intention, they try and scare you. They try and make you second guess yourself instead of just trying to make you feel, for a lack of a better term, loved by their god.

The way I see it they place themselves in this posistion, no matter how much God tries to help them their just simply evil people, the kind of person that, when they get caught performing a crime they are not sorry they did it, but sorry they were caught. So there is really nothing else for it but to deny them access to heaven. I think if there was even a chance they could be saved God would save them, but they wont be saved. As C.S.Lewis said, the Gates of Hell are held shut from the inside-
September 24th, 2006
(0)
Cool stuff
September 24th, 2006
(0)
-they wont allow themselves to be saved most of the time, or they would do it only for selfish reasons and would never be sorry for the crimes they have commited (btw only the Gates of Hell part was by C.S.Lewis...)---------------------------- This ytmnd made me sad :(
September 24th, 2006

Yeah right, and there are hundreds of accounts of people seeing UFOs, so therefore they exist too?
September 24th, 2006

You've got to be joking.
September 24th, 2006

"You are such a god damn idiot. God forgives all." Lol cojafoji, what book have you been reading? You're the idiot, and that has less to do with religion/beliefs than the fact that you either can't read, or are just making sh*t up for youself.
September 24th, 2006

Sad to see how much hate there is for Christians out there. Nothing unexpected though. Who needs God in a country where everything you could want is provided for you. In the end, when you are dieing, I hope you think back to this and remember your comments. I don't care whether you are a believer or not, if you see the gates of hell on your death bed you will come to the realize that you rejected a salvation that is so very easy to get, not hard, easy, all you had to do was ask just once to be saved.

"To speak his thoughts is every freeman's right, in peace and war, in council and in fight, unless he can't get the facts straight and calls everyone an 'infidel,' you f*g." -HOMER, The Iliad
September 24th, 2006
(0)
Even if any parts of your BS are factually accurate (which I doubt), your all-loving god sure has a funny way of showing his affection to his creations. In short: even if god were real (which he is not) I wouldn't worship him. Go fvck yourself.
September 24th, 2006
(0)
And BTW, this has nothing to do with Anti-Christianism. It has to do with Anti-Whetstonism. This is a horrible YTMND, 7th graders can write better sh*t than this. And these are just hallucinations seen by dying people, retold by preachers. That doesn't make it the word of God.
September 24th, 2006
(0)
This site is a total piece of crap. Go to some f*cking religous site you nutbag.
September 24th, 2006

Also notice how there are so many 5 stars at the top, compared to the bottom. This is because we don't hate Christ, we just hate you.
September 24th, 2006

I am a fair man, and I will sit to listen to those I disagree with. Your argument did not impress me though. I am not being or narrow minded, your argument faultered. Here is why. First off, you said yourself, people are not very mentally stable near death. So their words dont quite count as proof. Secondly, you said they had similar visions. Well, of course they did. These people had been told about hellfire and damnation their entire lives...
September 24th, 2006
(0)
i dont really like what you do, but respect what you do, so keep doing it, just not around me p.s. if there was someone in a christian-free place on earth, that had visions about fire and brimstone, it would make it much more beleiveable
September 24th, 2006
(0)
if they had been told about giant purple bunny rabbits in marshmallow fields, they would have been tasting the marshmallow on their way out. Third, you have quite a few religeous sources of information (Reverands and such), very biased people who are trying to "save those heathen free thinkers from the everlasting hellfire". Now, Im sorry, but I need more than second hand information about the final words of a stroke victim to sell me that all atheists are repentent as they are "consumed in hellfire"...
September 24th, 2006
(0)
Aside from the fact that these things are most likely made up, they are from the same source. Religious nuts.
September 24th, 2006
(0)
Boring. As. F*ck.
September 24th, 2006
(0)
Near death experiances are also largely bunk. The dying brain begins to run out of blood, shoot off random sensations and cause quite a few odd trips. So to recap your argument is 1)Dying people who have been convinced their entire lives that they will be consumed in hellfire see hellish visions as their brain spasms wildly in their last few minutes of life. And it is backed up by religous sources and vaguely points to "Hundreds more" similar tales. Your argument = fail. Also, unfunny = gtfo.
September 24th, 2006

What is sad about atheists is you just go off when someone posts anything even hinting at the existence of God, when does this ever happen when an evolution theory is posted? It may happen, but never anywhere near as often as it happens when something about God is posted. You realise what that sounds like right? Extremist religions are very close to what you guys are currently doing, absolute denial of anything even hinting of God and abuse to whomever supplies the information.
September 24th, 2006

Please show creationists some common curtesy and respect and take a look at what you are doing for a second.

September 24th, 2006

This proves nothing. Ask anyone who had a similiar experience IN A DIFFERENT RELIGION. I'm sure there are hundreds of accounts of people from religions such as the Hindu, Shinto, or Aboriginee who have felt something of the same, but with their own religion's account of what happens when you die. You suck ass, EmoKitten.

If god is really as close minded as you make him appear, and heaven is full of people like you, I can't wait to surf on the sea of fire and listen to metal. Frightening. There was a story about an islamic extremist who survived a failed suicide attempt. He was screaming about 12 ugly fat women groping him. Can't recall the sources or citation so I don't expect anyone to really be thoughtful on this.

September 24th, 2006

Poorly thought through [though well made...] You fail to understand that these 'testimonies' are poetic, romanticised wanderings of dying, desperate, and delusioned minds; not facts. It is nice to believe that there is life after death, but there is absolutely no hard evidence to support such a claim. We must work on what we can whilst we're here, rather than putting it off for another generation to sit back and wait for heaven with open, lazy arms.

Dependance on God is the single most destructive force in the global society. Supposing that there is a God, he will not intervene in your life, and you know damn well why. Objectively, you can see everything as a test from God which you can only pass alone. Because of this, God will never help you out. It would undermine the entirety of existance if God were to make something appear/disappear because in doing so, he would have to intervene in everything that said created/destroyed object interacted with.
September 24th, 2006
(0)
personally, i liked it, but you get a minus 2 for calling people infidels....it implies arrogance on your part
September 24th, 2006
(0)
let's put it this way. people who accept the term "pro life" are happy in doing so, but would someone claim to be "pro death" then because they agree with abortion? No. Just the same with your stupid and pointless use of "infidel" (which is used more exclusively by the Islamic culture. You have chosen to coin all other religions as 'infidels'. lol stupid). You automatically assume that there is no other way around the term. Ignorant white trash. GTFO please.

ok let's start with a presumable five because your site looks nice. minus one for condescension including the use of 'infidel', minus one for raving, elitist propaganda, minus one for ignoring the 'lack of humor' rule (unless you think this ytmnd is humorous, and i daresay the private last words of men are less than LOL-worthy), and minus one for the fact that you continually disregard max's statements that seem to suggest your stupid religious BS is not welcome here. oo, you get a one! see you in hell ^_^

AND SLOW THE F*CKING GIF DOWN.
September 24th, 2006

oh, and one more thing - can you show me a dying buddhist "infidel" who exclaimed in olde english that he was burning in hellfire, eternal damnation etc? then after you're done with that, find me a nice, dying christian man who in his last moments described the peace of heaven? oh, and the music was better on your first site.
September 24th, 2006

When blood flow is cut off from the brain, lack of oxygen send the mind into a state of dementia. Test pilots have had near death experiences in centrifuges, because the brain no longer receives much blood. Near death experiences do not prove life after death.

Odd i always understood from reading the Bible that your entry to hell/heaven does not begin until Judgment day. Death being a great sleep in which you have no thought. I never believed in NDE's for that reason.

you can whine all you want about people's attention spans, but when the disclaimer for the length of your ytmnd has the same runtime as your average ytmnd, you've already done something that isn't for this site.
September 24th, 2006
(0)
well done, some of the slides went by too quickly, I really had to be on my toes to read it all. perhaps you can keep adding to it with all these other accounts you speak of? The word infidel isn't well suited for talking about christianity, maybe non-believer or non-christian or atheist, or something along those lines. Infidel is too islamic.
September 24th, 2006

Nobody really cares who bought his house... The deathbed reports are completely fabricated and baseless and come from a ridiculously biased source with no attempts to cross reference it with any other source. Red herring does not imply truth. Take a logic class, please. You can learn about all of your fallacies in the first couple weeks (although there are so many I think it's too much to cover in one day unless you study real hard)
September 24th, 2006
(0)
Man I wish I could get people to pay so my crappy YTMND's will stay on the front page.
September 24th, 2006
(0)
I guess we could dig up 7 or 14 or maybe even a few more religious people who recanted or changed faiths. Would that prove anything to you? So what do you expect this trivial fallacy to accomplish?
September 24th, 2006
(0)
Ok, Whet... One Christian to another. This is not how you win people over to God. You don't do it by frightening them, or by telling them about Hell. And you don't do it by quoting clearly biased sources. You do it by showing them love, compassion, kindness... by letting them see the Joy that God gives to you. Think about what version of Christianity you want others to embrace. Hellfire for those we don't like? Or grace and love for everyone? Ubi caritas et amor, Deus ibi est.
September 24th, 2006
(0)
You get a 3 for effort. Sadly, I'm not all that into christianity. There's a lot of religons out there, and a lot of ancient religons that were taken more seriously.

I have to agree with thejackmac- believe in God or you're going to get eated >:o isn't a good message to send from a religion that's supposed to resonate the concepts of compassion, brother/sisterhood, and healing of the sick, weak, and downtrodden. It's great that you believe in Christianity enough to post a YTMND about it, but trying to scare people on the internet into belief is not exactly one of the 10 Commandments.

Funny how you say that all these people saw the same thing before dying, therefore it must be true. After all, when you ask people what a wise human would look like, what would you say? An old man with a beard and soft demeanor? What would you think of when you think of a caring person? Perhaps a mother? Needless to say, I like how this superstitious YTMND was constructed. It was eerie to us because it goes into the psychological backbone of humans and the collective unconcious that is produced--
September 24th, 2006

-- by our societies. After all, every single last one of those dying people you mentioned lived in Christian societies, where Christian afterthoughts were engrained in their subconcious. Nothing more than social conditioning. A valiant effort though for those who believe Christianity, even if you take no real logic into regard. 3'd.

This is a little bit creepy, reminds me of a jihadist perspective. Doesn't the Bible teach compassion and understanding, not spreading the faith through fear? If you were trying to support Christianity, you did nought more than make yourself look like a fool.

I appreciate your passion, but using fear and condescension as your tools in making little to no point is going to attract you hate and laughter, very rarely serious consideration. People who say for certain 'we are a brain', (darkreign I'm looking at you) - are as bad as those who say for certain they know god exists without evidence. I feel happy in being able, while paying homage to truth, to destroy the effects of the lying stories which have been told respecting the last moments of Mons. de Voltaire. I really don't agree with believing in religion just because you're afraid of going to hell. It isn't right believing it for that. What I'm going to make my religion for life is the religion of being a good person. Stop trying to scare people into a certain religion with your scary music, all that matters is that they were a good person in life and that's how they should be judged, whether they followed a certain religion or not doesn't matter.

I have no choice but to 1 this since it has absolutely no redeeming qualities (lol pun), but if it makes you feel better, I also 1'd the ytmnd petitioning to ban you. This doesn't even have Bible scriptures quoted! You figure most every wannabe God warrior would have some supporting scripture. Assuming you believe the version of the Bible you read is anywhere close to the original texts of the Bible. I really can't understand how anyone would 5 this piece of garbage.

Freaking hey. I need to stop devoting energy to this thing, but I have to vent. Someone here said, "If I believe in Jesus, I ensure salvation. So why not believe just to be safe?" BELIEVING? What does that mean? You can't DECIDE to believe in something if you don't. Plus, belief doesn't mean squat. Most people would say that devoting your life to Jesus is all you need... but at what point is a threshhold crossed when you fall below the criteria for entry into heaven?
September 24th, 2006

Anyway, the bottom line is that I trust God to lead me in the right direction instead of some douche that was scared by his preacher into burning all his Pokemon cards. I love how some Christians admit that humans are sinful, impure beings, yet then put themselves on the level of God by judging others and thinking they've been given the truth by other humans. They bash skeptics, but they fail to acknowledge that without skeptics, we'd all accept Muhammed as our savior if that was what we were told first.
