?Hitler is having a wonderful time (somewhat) | (2.93) | KAK | 2006-05-10 |
A great montage of Hitler during the height of his reign. This site made great use of the classic Tiny Tim song, which surprisingly blends perfectly with the propagandist photos designed to reveal Hitler's softer side. The result is an absurdly humorous product, with great replay value and an impressive portayal of a tyrant as a real human being. |

The song and game (both from the 80s) both seem to compliment eachother in this simple tribute to the early Final Fantasy releases. (FFIII in this case) |

?Dreams of a desert boy | (3.90) | klasky | 2006-05-10 |
Somewhat of an icon for the abstract and unusual sites on ytmnd, klasky has captured a small piece of cold reality in this snowy white suburban scene. The simplicity of the piano accompanying the wind-blown view of the abandoned yard has a calming effect. Like most good artwork, the title and finished product are open to interpretation. |

?Test | (3.78) | klasky | 2006-05-10 |
Well deserving of classic status, klasky's "Dance with the devil" employs the flickering, "dancing" images of a brightly illustrated inferno in a whimsically imaginative cartoon form across an ashen canvas. A masterful loop of Led Zeppelin guitar riffs somehow solidifies the playfully dark theme in its entirety. Excellent replay value. |

?interpretation | (4.26) | pouriton | 2006-05-10 |
The site that started it all! With the help of user comments from ankronikka.ytmnd.com, pouriton successfully created what would become a cult classic interpretation of the Duck Tales cartoon theme in Finnish form. Generating hundreds of thousands of views, the phrases "Taco Nazi" and "Your Arms are Broken" began popping up all over YTMND, and eventually, all over the internet as well. This is the original that spawned the "interpretation fad". Even after a year, no interpretations have come close to rivaling the original in popularity. |

?Sexy Weapon! | (2.36) | Wolfmight | 2006-05-10 |
A great example of an unusual and somewhat out-of-context scene from a great classic film. The clip essentially reveals the core traits of the character's persona (stereotypical male: violent, rowdy, lustful, and even resourceful) while doing so with a minimalistic and humorous approach. Finally, the high-quality audio loop cleverly adds to the intended humor. |

?Channel 74 | (3.54) | MrMolester | 2006-05-10 |
My family used to have this old television in the basement with poor reception. It was mainly only useful for playing NES and SNES. As a child, I discovered that channel 83 often picked up police scanner transmissions and cellphone calls. This YTMND reminded me of those days. |

?Poe's Classic The Raven | (3.80) | mrgrim | 2006-05-10 |
Poe's writing would influence countless generations of literature after his time. "The Tell-Tale Heart" holds more value than "The Raven" in my opinion, but this site remains an excellent tribute to this 19th century master of dark fiction. |

?(nsfw) Turtles like porn | (3.92) | Psyklax | 2006-05-10 |
This is a near flawless example of how a good YTMND should be made. Why? Psyklax has taken a quote from a classic, universally known children's cartoon show and cleverly used it in a new and original adult context to produce humor, all with very little effort needed on his part. |

?It's a lonely Christmas for Batman | (4.14) | Zootroy | 2006-05-27 |
This simple, quietly captivating scene surfaced amidst the bustling celebration of last year's holiday festivities. The ghostly shadow image pressed against a frosty window exposes the abandoned, dismal spirit of a weak, human Batman. A brief reminder of that which is often taken for granted - the irreplaceable love of a family. |

?pink | (3.98) | claytonian | 2006-09-06 |
Great site. There seems to be this controversy over the fact that claytonian didn't create the images himself, even though he properly cited the author & was the first person to share this artwork with YTMND. My point? He's helping Charlie White by extending the influence to YTMND. If he hadn't posted this site, I would not have found out about Charlie White, and wouldn't have purchased Charlie's book "Photographs". See how that works? In Summary - Don't discourage users from submitting someone else's work unless it has been posted before on YTMND. |
