Galactic Empire rules most of the galaxy with an iron fist, garrisons on every planet and a FREAKING HUGE FLEET in ROTJ. Jedi PWN with almost omnipenetrative lightsabers and the force. Also, Twi'Leks are hotter than Orions. Even Locutus of Borg couldn't defend against the full might of the Death Star, Death Star II, Super Star Destroyers, The Eye of Palpatine, Devastators or the Sun Crusher. And, hell, by now, the Star Wars galaxy is much more advanced, even long, long ago they had much better stuff.

SW Lasers > ST Phasers. They have so much power they're turned into solid projectiles using a mass/energy equation. ISD > Enterprise, it's a warship not a flimsy exploration craft. Also, Star Destroyers have dozens of fighter squadrons and support craft, Enterprise only has a few shuttles. The Galactic Empire has LOADS of superweapons and can easily render planets uninhabitable. Tattooine wasn't always a desert planet.
