I have only used the - a few times for some especially snide comments but I imagine based on my experience with similar individuals that the idea that post may not be seen matters little when compared to the petty pleasure of being a dick. Conversely I feel that many solid members will comment much less due to their posts being not being seen and I really don’t think spammers give a care at all. I can all but guarantee that the famous NEDM post would be hidden by this new system

Meh, I just don’t like the new comment system. Such a comment system works on other sites such as Slashdot or digg as their sites are rarely as specific as an YTMND site and offer a much stronger chance for discussion. YTMND comments are just that. …comments and as a result should really not be rated in the same manner as say a discussion. Also the comment system seems ripe for abuse by upvoters and downvoters.

Although this is stolen , one of the other sites created by Mr. Omegapirate2000 complains about a creative writing assignment……funny…. That being said the way the teacher writes entirely incursive except for the letter J is quite annoying.
