Maybe in the intellectualite circle's it's common for non-Christianity is precedent but polls have shown that atheists are among the smallest and most dislike minorities in the United States(this being in a country with religous freedom).
I was not saying they are persecuted but more disliked. However this needs to be addressed. Of course the Christians are more persecuted because of their larger numbers. The fact that Christians are slaughtered in slews of number in Darfur does not mean they are more disliked/hated then Atheists. The truth is their are not many atheists to go around killing in Extremist areas. A muslim controlled state is more likely to be anti-atheist then anti-Christian.
