I first saw the 60s Batman on repeats when I was about 3 or 4, and I always disliked it...thought it was so terribly corny, like they had no clue about how to make a show. Many years later, I saw the movie...and this, the bomb scene, was the point where it all finally clicked in my young brain that they were making it campy and corny and cliched as hell on purpose. I'd finally gotten the joke. "Some days you just can't get rid of a bomb!"...classic, and thanks for the memories with this one ;)
I'm trying to think of a tasteful Drew Barrymore joke to make here but failing utterly...this is certainly an image I'll find hard to get rid of in therapy.
Hit all the right targets. I've done bad impressions before of him as a "Lithuanian shubmarine commander, fresh from Minshk Academy" and "I am Juan Villa-Lopesh Ramaresh, of Shpain", so it's all spot-on. Really nice use of the film's incidential music too.
