In many ways its like saying, "Who killed more people - black or white men? Males or females?" It doesn't tell us *why* people were killed, it simply tells us who did it. We know that the *why* of the Inquisition and Islamic terror is Christianity and Islam respectively. There are no mass murders or major acts of violence where the root cause is atheism, however. There are major acts of violence by atheists, but the root cause is politics, not the lack of belief in a deity or some sort of atheist dogma.
I'm sure it's been pointed out already, but Muslims and Christians have killed people because of their religion. Their development of that belief system has taught them, "Kill for God." Contrast to atheists, who have never said, "Kill for atheism." Atheist dictatorships that are responsible for mass slaughter did it due to political ideals - not all of which were hostile toward religion - not due to their personal atheism. Thus Christianity and Islam caused violence, whereas atheism did not.
Rock Lobster certainly was a strange and offbeat tune to go with this YTMND. Its a good point. Unfortunantly it'll be downvoted by the Christian sheep on YTMND that are offended.
Which one is the stupid one again? It was f*ggy and bitchy of theo47 to revenge downvote Virty's sites and dunesw64 made a complete *ss out of himself too. Its like a boxing match between retards and f*gs.
Kind of a chicken/egg situation. Do they downvote because their sites get downvoted or do their sites get downvoted because they downvote? I tend to think they downvote/vote low and make sh*tty sites because they have bad taste overall.
+1 for calling out those who downvote politics due to "omg politics" -4 for ignorant political conspiracy theories "if you believe you have a choice, etc."
Republicans are against because the GOP supports the big businesses that line their pockets. Its another issue of Republicans voting for the vast minority of rich folks while voting against the real democratic wishes of the people.
...whereas a gun is not a belief; use of a gun is an action, and it comes after belief as well. Islamic beliefs, like every other belief in the world, cause actions. They cause people to do 'moral' things, such as abstain from alcohol (like the Qur'an commands) and they cause people to do violent things, such as murder Jews and beat women (also what the Qur'an commands).
"The religion" doesn't attempt to dissociate itself from the extremists. A minortiy of moderates do. You've just slipped into a misunderstanding of Islamic demographics when you attempt to attribute new modern revisions to a religion that has been inherently violent and extreme since its early beginnings. Likewise, I pointed out above why comparing a religion (belief system) to a gun (inanimate object) is an informal logical fallacy. Beliefs cause actions, therefore blame falls on beliefs...
