She knows about LA, and she knows it's in California. She doesn't know the abbreviated state notation we use on American mail ... that's IT. Hell, she knows more than you -- I'd wager you know about cities like London, Sydney, and Tokyo as well ... can you give me the British county, the Australian province, and the Japanese prefecture those belong to, though? If you can't, then you know less than she did in this case ... let alone their mail abbreviations. STFU.
Haha, me too! My father got satellite when I was 15, and I remember sneaking up when everyone else went to bed ... flipping through the channel guide, hoping to find a movie with a description that included "N" (nudity) and "AC" (adult content) warnings.
No. The simple "s" at the end of word doesn't automatically make it a plural. In modern English, the word "politic" doesn't really exist. Thus, it's both singular and plural, and "has" is appropriate.
It's not fake, for the last time. It's actually a piece of footage taken a couple of years ago that's become VERY famous in nature circles. It was featured on the Discovery:Science channel.
Jesus, people.
I saw this YTMND as paying homage to Dawkins, more than "mocking" him. Seriously, though ... don't make our atheist leaders into our own versions of the Pope and L. Ron Hubbard. You start building golden calfs and sacred cows, things you can't stand to be joked about, and you're just like 'em.
The "nobody really likes garfield" assertion is kind of strange. I kind of get the impression that your own circle of friends doesn't like it, and from that, you illogically project that to the public en masse. I like the older Garfield strips, quite a bit.
