?ENRIQUE!!! | (4.15) | ry4n | 2006-05-11 |
I personally like to think of this as the "corrected music" version of the Starburst advertisement. Though the synchronization is lacking, the choppiness itself adds to the sense of drama, with the words need not matching their mouths for you to get the gist of the action. Also, mariachis on there own seem to be funny and multiplied the humorousness of the situation. Take this as a mathematical note: the humor of mariachis does not simply add but multiplies the humorousness of any other joke. |

?FutureConan Part 3: Wizards In Time | (4.35) | syncan | 2006-05-11 |
While this was not the greatest of Syncan's successes on YTMND, it was most certainly the peak of the, as Syncan proclaimed, trilogy of the Future"canon". Syncan makes self-reference with, not the first time in his work, the inclusion of David Bowie's character as Jareth, seemingly having created a fad in some small part of resurrecting the Labyrinth movie, whose cult status has partly fleshed out in the YTMND community. I wish that someone might follow this up with a FutureConan Part 4, but it is doubtful that the humor could be topped without Syncan's aid in editing himself. |

?(nsfw) Thomas the tank engine and hoes | (4.00) | CookieMonster4Sael | 2006-05-11 |
I've always had a special spot for Thomas the Tank Engine and friends in my life, once having memorized all the engine theme songs when I was a child, and knew that he would remain the original "subanthropromorphicized," as Wikipedia calls him, vehical. However, this twisted perversion of the theme song never ceases to fail me as a classic, especially with the harminozing of the rap music with the melody of the music that works surprisingly well. I think it would be wise to take the advice of the user gguru1, who, in commenting on this site, reccomended resurrecting Thomas as a fad on YTMND, so that the Rev. W. Awdry's mirth and enthusiasm for steam engines may, in some strange way, live on. |

?American Express is Emo | (3.67) | zzzzone-of-danger | 2006-05-11 |
After seeing hundreds of sites, in the fastest-growing and most disrespectful fad of all time, use the song "Untitled" by Simple Plan to parody the tragic "myspace suicide," it was a relief to see the song not used in a way to commit personal disrespect for a human being, but to instead poke fun at American Express. God knows I miss the Seinfeld and Superman advertisement campaign, but the idea of an angsty, teenage American Express card cracked me up. This may have been the first good play on words since someone told me that you are supposed to call a child-abusing animal rights activist a "PETAphile." It is a shame to see such an ammusing joke rushed away in the swamp of what should be considered YTMND's low point simply because it dared to stray from the norm. |

?spread my stapler and fly away | (4.26) | pineappleclock | 2006-05-11 |
The question that echoes in my mind every time I see this site is always this: how is it that the voice synchronized into the song so well? Was it pure luck that the tone and pitch of his voice fit the song's harmony? It's things like this, where everything just plain works, that are a staple of the fact that, unlike the claims of Ebaumsworld forum members, YTMND is not a one-trick pony where the users spend their days creating mindless drivel and crap. Sure, this sound clip, only a few seconds long, is not a full song and not commercially useful, but it is proof of innovation on the part of YTMND users, and well worthy of the notoriety it has recieved. The defining moment? The second time he says "staaaaaaaapleerrrrrrrr." |

?Transformer - MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE! | (4.05) | loosemoose | 2006-05-11 |
This YTMND had its fifteen minutes of fame on the main page before disappearing forever. I have a special attachment to it because it was one of the few I had ever recognized as being a hit before most of YTMND had seen it - and revealed to me that it was an image ripped offa los Internets rather than a YTMND original. However, the image is a classic, and the way that loosemoose sets up the presentation is fantastic: the sheer enthusiasm of "MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE!" in the title is simply fantastic innuendo, and the lack of words but the inclusion of the action-packed themesong sets up this image to be appreciated on many levels more than the original may have stood on its own without a YTMND to give it a home. |

?(nsfw) Sonic gives advice on rape! | (4.54) | GenesisHell | 2006-05-21 |
This site seems to change every time I look at it and get weirder and weirder, but I'm adding it to the favorites because its concept is just the most bizarre out of all the "Sonic Advice" YTMND's. |

?HALO 3 ENDING leaked! | (3.97) | slurrey | 2006-06-09 |
It's the BEST DAY EVER! Personally, if Halo 3 ends this way, I think the gaming community will pretty much be utterly rocked. Imagine the pulling of a Matrix Revolutions on Halo 3? Better yet, what if the machines win in Terminator 4 and then the machines lived hapily ever after in a pink poney princess world? If only there were a "pink flower" level. Gameshark... |

?MOM. MOM!! | (4.31) | MasterSitsu | 2006-07-05 |
As though "curing" oneself of homosexuality isn't totally screwed up, this guy has some serious issues with coping with the idea that he is somehow different from society. Although most would say the main thing that distinguishes this man from society is his new approach to homosexuality, I'd have to say that his defining characteristic is being totally fucking nuts. I mean, shit! He's beating a pillow up with a tennis racket and pretending it's his mom! |

?Sean Connery fails at Duck Hunt | (4.56) | juiceman | 2006-08-08 |
Well edited, it's almost surprising that this has never been done. Had there never been a Super Mario Brothers, I'm guessing that the dog from Duck Hunt would have gone on to be the mascot of Nintendo anyway. Anyway, to digress, the premise was solid enough that you could laugh at the title, which, fortunately, didn't give away all the content. The pink tint during the fly-away was marvelous, and the "For God's Sake" most marvelous. Nice job, juiceman. |
