Adam Curry, the famous former MTV VJ, helped invent podcasting in the early part of the first decade of the 2000s. His role in the invention of podcasting earned him the nickname "The Podfather." He started his first podcast in 2004, Daily Source Code, which still continues today. In October 2007, he and his longtime friend, technology writer and commentator John C. Dvorak, decided to create a weekly podcast called No Agenda. It started out as Adam & John just discussing the news of the week in general (technology, politics, celebrities, etc.), and has since evolved into a twice-a-week deconstruction of the world's newsworthy events, centered primarily on politics. Over the years, through over 400 episodes, fans have donated money, music and jingles to the show. One of the most prolific donators of music and jingles to the show is Nashville musician Geoff Smith. This is a song written in tribute to No Agenda that references their jingle "In The Morning," which was based on Family Guy's "Weenie and the Butt."
