???
"tantamount to rape???" right, ok dude. pull your head out of ass. i have taught and i have banged my students and did nothing wrong. sure, they wanted a grade. but i'm a good looking guy with the ability to make my students roar with laughter whenever i felt compelled to. they wanted to have sex with me as much as they wanted a good grade. and you're comparing that to rape? you might have had something if you compared student/teacher sex to prostitution, but no. as far as i saw it, there were girls begging to have sex with someone in an authoritative position and hey, it might help them out the course. who cares.
I'm obviously exaggerating in comparing the abuse of power for sexual gain in the two cases, but it's closer to rape than prostitution. Prostitution only makes sense if there's an explicit exchange of sex for better grades. (Also beside the point is the unfair way teachers tend to be singled out for the particular criticism of taking advantage.)
So, c'mon, how much easier would you like it? Get your students drunk first? Staple some smokes to your crotch and visiting teach at a woman's prison? Or maybe just break their legs first so they can't run away? S'all the same to me...bad form, ol' bean. 'Sides, if you're that successful, why not bide your time with some last call specials for the, at most, 3 and a half mos. til the semester ends. And if we're not talking about semesters, then it probably is criminal and not simply unethical.
Over the years, both of them, I've found you to be a pretty interesting, although at times obnoxious, commenter, one with the occasional good point or funny comment. In short, you're a good froog, but stay away from my daughter.
too long, phd.
plus, we don't even know if she was attractive or not.
