Star Trek: Voyager Theme (Solo Piano)
I was bored one day so I adapted the Voyager theme to piano by ear; I can provide sheet music for anyone interested. This was recorded in MOTU DP 5 using the Bösendorfer 290 piano plug-in, using an M-Audio Keystation Pro 88 MIDI controller.

Can you do Yakety Sax next?

lol I dunno if that would sound so great on piano, that theme is best suited for a wind instrument. I'm a rhythm section player - piano, guitar, bass, drums, percussion, etc. I won't make any promises but I'll try to adapt the Yakety Sax some time.

I have no idea why you made this, but you are very probably the best person on this entire website for doing it.

LOL As flattering as that complement is, I would hardly agree. But thanks! haha. And the reason for doing it, as it says in the description, is boredom. Sometimes it's a good thing.

that's damn impressive. i'd play the piano too, except that i inherited a finger condition known as "stubbiness"
August 29th, 2009

lol My fingers have become stubby over time as well, and it makes for a few unwanted notes while playing. But any person who's studied jazz knows that there are no wrong notes, only "tensions." lol. I've taught people with stubby fingers to play piano and guitar though, so I wouldn't let stubby fingers get in your way of learning to play the piano if it's really a passion. :)

so, why's Odo playing this?

LOL When I was uploading the site, I knew that someone would be asking why an DS9 character is playing for the Voyager theme. I'm surprised it took over 24 hours for someone to make this comment. lol The only two pictures of Star Trek crew playing the piano were Deanna Troy or Odo...and the Odo one looked more interesting; plus I'm a male, so portraying myself as Deanna Troy would cause some concern, yes?

That...and Odo was a shapeshifter, so technically he COULD have been on Voyager without us knowing. Ok back to not getting laid...

lol Very true, maybe he was the bridge! Poor Odo...lettin' people walk all over him. :'(

Well, if Odo was on Voyager then he left DS9 and was replaced with another Changling since the series ran side by side.
