I just think there is much more to the story. Like the fact that he didn't ask for help for the girl still in the car despite authorities speculating that she lived for up to 2 hours under water with an air bubble. He made a pu blic statement that he was concerned that the girls friends might have tried to help her and ended up hurting themselves so he didnt say anything to protect them. He suggested he was concerned for others safety and not that he was stinking drunk.

I know everybody has already processed this information. It just seems that running into water wasn't even the beginning of the story.

Of course you're right, but I can only do so much with limited funds and 2.5 megs. Having said that, I believe your comments have added immeasurable power and meaning to this story without exceeding our meager budget.

The whole event just underscores the power of money. The wheels spin fast if you've got it. 80 percent of the population breaks themselves for nothing in return and these *ssh*les walk through crime scenes to get to their parade.

"First, our cities will not be flooded with a million immigrants annually. Under the proposed bill, the present level of immigration remains substantially the same.... Secondly, the ethnic mix of this country will not be upset.... Contrary to the charges in some quarters, [the bill] will not inundate America with immigrants from any one country or area, or the most populated and deprived nations of Africa and Asia.... In the final analysis, the ethnic pattern of immigration under the proposed measure is not expected to change as sharply as the critics seem to think.... The bill will not flood our cities with immigrants. It will not upset the ethnic mix of our society. It will not relax the standards of admission. It will not cause American workers to lose their jobs." - Teddy Kennedy speaking of the effects of the - Teddy Kennedy speaking of the effects of the 1965 Hart-Celler Immigration Act during debate on the Senate floor.

Pretty sad that the woman riding with him died because he was driving drunk. If he had reported it, she could have been saved. But no, her life wasn't as important as Ted not having to spend the night in jail. Sad, so sad.

You don't get it. Internet subculture grew at leaps and bounds during the Bush years so it was easy to assume that the internet was just packed to the brim with liberals. The truth is much simpler. People just hate whoever is currently in charge so they have someone to blame for all their problems. WELCOME TO 4 YEARS OF CONSERVATIVE FUNNIES!

well, there are both sides here. There are people that think liberals can do no wrong and there a people that swear obama was born in kenya and love to yell socialism at the top of their lungs. But more than either of those are a bunch of people that like to see prominent figures kicked while they are down or even better dead. F*ckem if they can't take a joke.

Ted Kennedy killed one person that night, but millions more through abortion laws.
