this one was a major bitch. it's impossible to get a good loop because the water effects (beautiful effects too for a 16-bit game) take at least 30 seconds to do a full loop. 30 seconds of a gif with so much animation in it = 300 mb basically, which is entirely unacceptable. due to me combining images together, rather than using separate images per frame, I am able to keep the file sizes down, but when practically the entire screen changes each frame (crateria raining and this one) it isn't as large--

this is too sh*tty to convince me that this was a "major bitch". if you at least had to do sprite ripping or something to make this work i might believe you SOMEWHAT but sheesh this looks like it took 5 seconds. if you spent more than that you're wasting your life on ytmnd and not even good at it

Excellent work on the animation side! I can understand how that can be hard work for syncing purposes. However, the music loop doesn't have the slow start up in the beginning? Did you do this for looping purposes?

I did, yes, since this one is actually a full composed piece, rather than being essentially ambient intonations like the previous two are. if i included the slow start up, it would not loop properly - i would have to do fade in/out and that misses the point.

another thing you might notice is missing is the sound from samus' suit respirator. i didn't include them because syncing it with the bubbles leaving samus' suit would be impossible. the only way i can do it is by separating the respirator noise, then adding it as a separate track ontop of the music. this may help with the ambiance and i might revisit it in the future to add it.

Thanks a lot dude. Awesome work yet again. I didn't think about the whole water overlay effect when I suggested it - nice job making it work.

the game was cool but this fad is f*cking horrible. i know that its this whole counterculture of going against the fad concept with ironically-sh*tty fads, but even thats become mainstream and annoying now

I agree. What's the point of this?
