also, you're a fucking idiot. he obviously wasn't the leader of the peace movement in the united states. god help us, if he had been, it wouldn't have gone anywhere. the US would have been in indochina for 20 more years and killed millions more innocent people. there were countless others on the front lines of resistance, who didn't also happen to have his level popular influence. still his contributions weren't insignificant. you can't trivialize the fact that his influence, however tangential, positively contributed to the culture of resistance that brought the war to an end (and i would argue, civilized the fucking population).
