Reports yesterday indicate that 90% of Americans are skeptical about what they hear or read from the news. Research by various unnamed sources indicates that Jews are largely to blame.

Colbert has sucked since he got his own show. He was good on the Daily Show, but he seems totally unfunny on his own show, which is really confusing because it's the same writers, both Stewart and Colbert included.

I still say if our founding fathers were around today they'd all call us a bunch of pussies. For the people by the people hasn't existed in a real long rime. There is no democracy in this country and we're far from even being a republic.
October 7th, 2007
(1)
god bless pepsi
(2)
The difficulty with the idea of bringing grassroots democracy back to America is that we have far too many uneducated people here who would be unable to make well-founded decisions on issues that (really) matter. As it stands, said people already vote for the politicians they see on TV and never even think of doing a little research beforehand.
October 7th, 2007
(2)
I'm not implying that we need a strict definition of democracy in this country. A lot of the people here don't even know a politicians political beliefs they vote based on appearance, charisma and character. I still believe if John Kerry didn't have the face of a horse and wasn't married to a loud mouth bitch he would have won. I just think citizens should have more control in what effects this country and politicians should have a little less than they do right now.
October 7th, 2007
(2)
Because when you can get tazed in this country for asking a question your Bill of Rights has gone out the window. I don't care if he was being a douchebag and questioning authority. This country was founded on questioning authority and nowadays asking a question results in getting tazed.
(0)
This is why my solution to improving the government is a required exam that asks what candidates have made what statements (chosen by the candidate to avoid biasing the voters) in order to vote. If you don't know what the candidates actually stand for, you don't get to select them! Also, it'd be text-only unless you have an actual handicap and in English.
(1)
Of course, a test of such kind is unconstitutional. It probably would also reveal that a good portion of the voting-age American citizenry is embarrassingly illiterate (LOL OMG CARRIE SAY WUT) and would likely result in cries of racism from inner-city communities. God bless America.
October 7th, 2007
(1)
Look it up actually the US was only technically a democracy for like 4 years. The founding fathers created a Democracy it was not practical, they scrapped it and created a Republic. Despite what you may have learned from "Civilizations" a Republic is actually far more complex and versatile. btw StupidBoring*ssh*le they pretty much did, each state picked individuals who were to be educated on the political system and if as a group they came to a unanimous consensus that their state had voted stupidly they would essentially be able to change how that state votes and suffer the repercussions or reap the benefits later. This is the electoral college and because of the potential for corruption along with other reasons in all except for 4 states they can no longer do anything except sit and watch how their state votes, and then are forced to agree.
October 11th, 2007
(0)
I still say the story of our founding fathers would be alot more interesting if it were told in the form of an anime starring a cast entirely comprised of scantly clad catgirls fighting historical battles with cunnilingus and vibrators.
September 14th, 2008
(0)
"The founding fathers created a Democracy" Wrong. The founders first had the articles of confederation, which made the former colony states in to a loose knit organization. Then certain folks like Alexander Hamilton wanted to centralize power, so they pushed for and got the Constitution.
September 14th, 2008

(1)
Politicians are scheming, devious, and evil*
October 9th, 2007
(0)
Democrats love white chocolate minus the strawberry filling, bounce on orange trampolines that they call Bill, and they ride unicorns to baptisms and congressional meetings. Republicans listen to Johnny Cash only on Thursdays, and every other Tuesday (unless there's a unpaid holiday), eat chocolate pudding from dog bowls, and drive elephants with XXL size briefs on their heads. And when it comes to politics on YTMND, everyone makes stereotypes of their "opposing" party. Can't we all just get along?
September 14th, 2008
(0)
Greens are nice people who want to do the right thing, but are quite confused and are unaware that many of their ideas would lead to tyranny. Constitutional Party members claim to uphold liberty and the constitution, but turn a blind eye to the evangelical depreciations of liberty.

Fox is actually the only network that has both conservative and liberal commentators (hannity and colmes for ex)... CNN has a huge left-wing bias...but LOL ITS FUN TO BASH FOX BECAUSE LIBERALS ARE THE FREE THINKING SMART PEOPLE
October 7th, 2007
(2)
Sometimes they are and sometimes they aren't. REALLY aren't. But Fox's owner has been shown to influence the line-up and political bias of the news broadcast, and liberal commentators or guests are usually either toothless or belittled. Also, c*cks.
October 7th, 2007
(1)
To be a liberal means your so smart you can never be wrong no matter what the results. To be a conservative means that no matter how fair and hard working you are you are always a racist and a red neck.
October 7th, 2007
(2)
^ stereotypes. Too bad that's how everyone looks at it.
October 9th, 2007
(0)
The two parties were designed to create the illusion that you have a choice. Two sides of the same coin with the purpose of making us fight against each other instead of focusing on the source, which controls both parties behind the scenes. Divide/conquer. Millions deceived. If you don't believe me look at what you're doing. Boohoo liberals suck. No boohoo conservatives do. While you all are arguing about which wrong is less wrong, the elite are getting what they want no matter who appears to be in charge.
