I thought the movie was awesome, but I also lol'd at the ads. Also you you forgot furbies, which smashed Bumblebee's legs with their truck. lawl
July 7th, 2007
(3)
well that's hasbro, they had the right to put product placement everywhere....they invented transformers
(0)
I was wondering why in the hell they're STILL making furbies.
(0)
Further proof that those things are f*ckin' evil. NOBODY TRIES TO KILL BUMBLEBEE AND GETS AWAY WITH IT! *torches a furby*

"Further proof that those things are f*ckin' evil. NOBODY TRIES TO KILL BUMBLEBEE AND GETS AWAY WITH IT! *torches a furby* " Ditto that!! Plus this was the first thing out of my boyfriend's mouth as we left, "Did you see all the ad placements?? Mountain Dew, all kinds of cars...and FURBIES!" O_O

July 7th, 2007
(3)
Yeah, I'd say overall I liked the movie too. I dont fault them for all the product placement, but I'm still gonna make fun of it.
(11)
Until they start decreasing the price of your movie ticket based on the number of ads they force you to watch, don't feel bad in any way for making fun of them.
July 7th, 2007
(0)
yes... there really was quite a bit of product placement. Entertaining no less... Oh, also, add a boom microphone. I saw a bunch of those!
(0)
Haha, me too. They need to hire some new sound guys, or some new editors....or just a goddamn decent director.
July 7th, 2007
(0)
I hate comment whoring but one last one before I drift away. I was going to 4 the site but then I saw the sound citation and 5'd it :P.
July 7th, 2007

added a boom mic
(0)
Haha, awesome
July 10th, 2007
(0)
If you see boom mikes in almost any movie, it's because the projectionist didn't line up the film correctly, not because the filmmakers screwed up.
July 7th, 2007

July 9th, 2007
(4)
Did anyone else notice that the only Autobot to die was the "black" one?
July 9th, 2007
(0)
the black guy ALWAYS dies in a movie with dominant white people.
July 11th, 2007
(0)
i'm black and i didn't even notice that. I'm ashamed. :(
July 9th, 2007
(0)
F*ck Mike Bay.
July 9th, 2007
(0)
Five Stars. Though the product placement was infinitely more subtle then what it was in the I Robot movie. Also, the movie fecking rocked.
July 9th, 2007
(0)
yeah, it was one huge commercial. movie still owned though.
July 9th, 2007
(0)
hokay
July 9th, 2007
(4)
you forgot Megan Fox
July 9th, 2007
(0)
Some of those I barely even noticed, or don't even remember seeing. Besides, this idea has been done before for other movies.
July 9th, 2007
(0)
you missed GMC? hopefully you were making out during this movie then
July 9th, 2007
(0)
Yes, because I definitely said "I completely missed all of those" and not "Some of those I barely noticed."
July 9th, 2007
(0)
whatevar, MAKEOUT
(0)
Is it odd that when I left the movie I didn't have a sudden urge for mountain dew or to buy a denali?
July 9th, 2007
(0)
You forgot Hasbro. I thought the movie was good, but the advertising could get a little annoying.
July 9th, 2007
(3)
not to mention that girls knockers. advertised the hell out of them
July 9th, 2007
(0)
Xbox was in there? BTW you forgot Pontiac and Hasbro
July 9th, 2007
(0)
Pretty much. That and explosions. Because who needs stuff like character development when you have pointless action scenes where John Voight fights the least interesting decepticon ever?!
July 9th, 2007
(11)
Killer Mountain Dew machine made me lol. I can't believe that happened. Same with the killer XBOX 360. I almost threw my Motorolla RAZR phone that comes with bluetooth capability, slim design, and a 1.3 Megapixel camera with Digitial Zoom and many other awesome options! ... at the screen!
July 9th, 2007

am I the only one who doesnt care? it was a great movie. I feel sorry for the people who constantly see this kind of thing in everything.
(0)
I dunno, bitchin' about product placement in a movie based off a tv show whose sole purpose was to sell cheap plastic toys seems like it misses the point. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go trade in my '04 GMC truck for an '07. Also, the iPhone actually sucks, so I'm gonna go grab one of those kick *ss Nokia smart phones. Commie bastert.

Thank you! The blantant advertising in that movie pissed me off. Gee how can we work in "nokia phone" into the script. There was so much f*cking advertising in that movie they should have paid me to watch it.
July 10th, 2007
(0)
You guys do realize that the whole point of the entire transformers franchise is to sell stuff, right?
July 10th, 2007
(0)
In a way, if they didnt have the produt placement, there was no story, think about that... Also why old school transformers cartoons were superior
July 11th, 2007
(0)
I still find it hilarious that the movie was a 2.5 hour long Chevy Camaro commercial, yet the Camaro got its *ss kicked the entire movie. That car is full of fail.
(0)
for a minute there, I thought you were gonna have the scene where Bumblebee pissed on that guy from O Brother Where Art Thou, LOL
July 11th, 2007
(0)
awesome movie, but you are still right.
July 11th, 2007
(0)
Yeah, that's one of the problem with Michael Bay. It's still a good movie though
July 11th, 2007
(0)
movie needs less akward kid and more giant robots. all 20 mins of the action scenes = win. the rest of the movie = fail
July 11th, 2007
(0)

In a sort of counter-point, I thought it was good to use real products. I'd be to distracted if they used fake brands.

I think that was actually pretty funny how it was a end-of-the-world movie and yet the President of the USA wasn't involved at all...
July 19th, 2007

The biggest ad in the movie was for military inlistment.
