Why My Computer is Better than Yours (Refresh)
oh and if you are wondering why there are two keyboards, every time I startup my computer tries to find "new hardware" for the keyboard that is plugged in during startup, which of course it can't find. After it fails to find it&#44

You're an idiot. That's not 1 terabyte of memory, it's 1 terabyte of storage. RAM = memory. 1'd, but you get a +1 for the password. That made me kinda twitch toward smiling, otherwise it was a total waste of 3 minutes.

You lost me at "then." It's: 'Why My Computer is Better THAN Yours.'

windows 98 wont be able to handle a terabyte harddrive, too old, incompatible...i think the limit of harddrive size on windows 98 is 127 gigs...let the dream die my friend

Windows 98 had the BEST Startup sound. I currently have three operating systems on my computer that I choose to boot from at start-up: Windows 98, Windows XP Pro, and Linux Suse. BEAT THAT GEEKDOM!

This was good and interesting. However it's way too long for a ytmnd IMO. Don't worry, my one isn't gonna do anything to counter all those 5's though.

whats with the loyalty to windows 98? It sounds like windows 98 has done you wrong time and time again. i mean it's almost been 10 years since it was released, they've done a thing or two to improve windows. Screw the terrabyte thing, you don't need that much storage anyway

my dad still has his 98, and i still have my old 95. granted its way outdated i still have it around

I watched the whole thing. All I can say is that you should find yourself some friends. If you already have friends, cut all ties and find some new ones. If that fails, blue screen yourself.

Well, tell me what you have done that nobody in the world has done before, ever? Once I get this new hardrive I'm going to create a Wikipedia article about it. ...if it works. Somebody said that 127 gigs was the maximum for windows 98, and right now I got 120
April 10th, 2007
(-1)
Don't clog up Wikipedia with f*ggy sh*t. You said yourself you chose not to update because you were lazy. I wouldn't call laziness something special.
April 10th, 2007
(-1)
half the stuff on Wiki is f*ggy sh*t, and I think having the same OS for 10 years and upgrading it to over 3000% of the originaly hardrive space is at least semi-special
April 10th, 2007
(0)
If 127 gigs is the max, which I think is possible, then the OS probably can't address larger drives...which may mean you don't get what you want anyway.
April 12th, 2007

You can make 8 partitions dumbasses he will be fine. I was not gonna vote cause it was amusing but I was like meh....but reading these downvoters...5d

I'm running Win98SE right now and it's pretty amazing - my friends laugh at me, but I f*ck their gfs, so it's ok.

I can't tell why, but I sympathize with your cause, and for that you get a 5. Cheers!

Damn why did you make me sit through all of that! My obsessive compulsive disorder prohibits me from not finishing Ytmnds. Or misspelling words. Or failing to capitalize "Ytmnd".

Pretty epic! When you upgrade to XP, this will help a lot: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/virtualpc/default.mspx You can run your old copy of 98 without having to dual-boot.
April 10th, 2007

When I put 98 on my spare computer, I found that a lot of people still work to keep it current. You can find a nice service pack at http://exuberant.ms11.net/98sesp.html and http://windowsupdate.62nds.com/ still even supports windows 95. I feel like I've seen other projects, but can't seem to find them.

I did the same thing for two years, but ran ME. I had the longest running ME platform that my father (who works in tech support) had EVER seen. I did't even get habitual blue screens untill the very, very last days.

1 TB of Storage != 1 TB of RAM I have 1 TB of storage on my PC right now, and I could install 98 if I was a masochist

Your a loser. You wanna be a rebel, run a Linux distro, until then, your just a disillusioned idiot. 1'ed, and get a better OS then come back and brag.
April 10th, 2007
(0)
There are probably more people running Linux then windows 98. Also I'm not doing SO i can feel like a rebel, it just makes you feel good when you suprise everybody as "Windows 98" pops up on two screens.
April 10th, 2007
(-1)
you are an idiot
April 10th, 2007

An odd, but admirable goal.
April 10th, 2007

You win. But you would win more if you were running Windows 95, and even more so if it were 3.1. I ran 95 for a bit a few years ago (after the time that everyone had XP). Also, 80 gig is real tiny compared to the good specs you have for the rest of your computer. And RAM/memory cannot refer to how much disk space you have.
April 10th, 2007

I may have reinstalled XP at least a dozen times, but I have only installed Win 95 ONCE. You sir are a True American Hero. Rock, rock on!
April 10th, 2007
(0)
I've heard that more people in the world are using Windows 98 than Macs or Linux combined, so you aren't so alone in the world (until you get the 1 TB drive).

Almost 10 Years on the exact same OS...I could never do that. Props on 3GHz Win98 box. Remember to install Win98 on a "Virtual PC" when you have Vista as a token of what u came from...
