I liked it. The point is that an NEDM isn't supposed to happen at that moment. Happycat wasn't supposed to show up and surprise everyone yet, hence why Will Ferrel is brushing him out of the way and the music isn't playing (it wasn't ready). You could go as far to say that Happycat took off his mask when he turned his back because he knew that there was no way that he/she could do the joke now that the moment was gone. Downvoters need to pay more attention before they vote!
FuzzyDuck: I got the joke right away, I just was hoping for NEDM and I was disappointed. It's like when you clicked on a YTMND entitled "HOT GRANNIES SUCKING C*CK" and it turns out to be a picture of Dr-L337, that says "LOL U CLICKED, PREVERT". Sure, the creator got you by surprised, but you don't upvote on that basis. You're just pissed off that the site didn't deliver the goods as promised.
