after Sierra f*cked us all over and dropped support for that game I was very sad. One of the best games of all time. Losing that game was almost like losing a beloved pet :( I hate Sierra.

I'd feel more sad if I didn't always think it was a failure compared to Tribes 1, which IMHO was the best online shooter ever created :(

Naw, Tribes 2 was far superior. It was smoother, had better maps, better vheicles, better balance, and it was overall very well polished. Not to mention the community features were AMAZING. If it weren't for Sierra deciding "HEY LETS REMOVE THINGS WE ADVERTISE ON THE BOX FOR NO REASON" and removing the community features, I'm positive that game would still be being played today. THAT was the point that the game began to die.

Tribes 1 had better maps. Tribes 1 had no need for vehicles, the booster control was so easy and smooth, and what vehicles it did have were just icing on the cake. I don't remember Tribes 1 not being smooth. Tribes 2 was a decent game, and obviously technologically superior/had a deeper singleplayer/etc, but the gameplay was just so much slower than Tribes 1, the maps were way bigger and things were more vehicle based, the inventory stations were ruined, and from what I experienced it had nowhere near

the absolutely amazing mod base that Tribes 1 had. Hell, I like Tribes: Vengance way more than Tribes 2 personally, but maybe I'm just mad at it because Tribes 1 was really my first big online FPS-style game, and the first online game in which I was in a big, very serious guild, i.e. had mad skillz, and said clan moved to Tribes 2 on its release and quit before I got the game; not to mention back when I wanted to like it it was full of bugs and tons of crashes for me, and didn't feel worth all the trouble
