I think we have a winner
October 10th, 2006
(0)
add more IRL things like compare it to the size of Poland. Also more sci fi things would be cool, like warhammer 40k, whatever
October 10th, 2006
(0)
you sir are a nerd. good job!!!
October 10th, 2006
(-1)
You just took screenshots of merzo.net and made it into a ytmnd. That's a 1 in my book. BTW, Merzo is NOT a "fantastic website". They got the sizes for the SSD and Death Stars wrong.

"You just took screenshots of merzo.net and made it into a ytmnd. That's a 1 in my book. BTW, Merzo is NOT a "fantastic website". They got the sizes for the SSD and Death Stars wrong." Wow, a fanboy if there ever was one........

(0)
5 cause ya credited that site.
October 10th, 2006
(0)
It would be easier on the eyes if you simply had a note at the bottom indicating the scale. It's hard to maintain a visual reference with the huge black slide coming in every frame. You could also slow it down without making the YTMND longer that way. 5'd for f*cking huge Halo.
October 10th, 2006
(0)
Pluto still owns them all.
October 10th, 2006
(0)
King Kong looks like Donkey Kong... WHICH MAKES THIS YTMND ALL THE MORE DANGEROUS. Looking at Sean Connery the wrong way dangerous.
October 10th, 2006
(0)
I really enjoyed this, watched it a couple of times.....
October 10th, 2006

October 10th, 2006

Last slide should have a been a "yo mama"
October 10th, 2006
(0)
5'ed for stargate.
October 10th, 2006
(0)
too fast, but the music gives this a great mood
October 10th, 2006
(0)
looks like we're all still small
October 10th, 2006
(0)
23rd... also staypuft marshmallow man FTW.
October 10th, 2006
(0)
Makes me wanna play Katamari Damacy.
October 10th, 2006
(0)
what the hell is ringworld
October 10th, 2006
(0)
really kinda freaks you out a bit to imagine things so big in RL. music fits the epic feeling. and Halo is rediculously f*cking huge.
October 10th, 2006
(0)
Pretty cool.
October 10th, 2006
(0)
Should be slower, also win
October 10th, 2006
(0)
Awesome!! Some things to add to the website tho - the Sarlacc Pit from ROTJ, the Eye of Doom and maybe some other towers from LOTR (not exactly sci-fi but would be cool to compare size), the spaceship from The Day The Earth Stood Still (classic!!).... also throw in a planet by which to compare the super-size objects, maybe Earth or Mars.... and are the ships from E.T. and Close Encounters of the Third Kind there? If they are I missed 'em, but great work!!
October 10th, 2006
(0)
wow interesting! good job!
October 10th, 2006
(0)
Neat, but terrible choice of music.
October 10th, 2006
(0)
Jeff Russell was a fine reliever for Texas, and an impressive sci-fi nerd.
October 10th, 2006
(0)
Insufficient.
October 10th, 2006
(0)
Even thought the frames are too fast to read, thoroughly entertaining.
October 10th, 2006

5'd for Robotech music
October 10th, 2006
(0)

October 10th, 2006
(0)
pretty cool, good music... but PLEASE make text slides shorter
October 10th, 2006
(0)
hmm others are saying its too fast, maybe im the odd man out
October 10th, 2006
(0)
ha, nerd.
October 10th, 2006
(0)
-1 because this totally gives an incomprehensable size description of the dyson sphere. The better way would be to compare the death star to some sci fi planetoid, like courisant or something. then put courisant as 1 pixel in comparison with the arc of the dyson sphere on one side of the screen.
October 10th, 2006
(0)
I don't get how the shuttle would be as big as an ATAT
October 10th, 2006
(0)
Actually its even bigger..that makes no sense.
October 10th, 2006
(0)
sufficient
October 10th, 2006
(0)
That space slug thing is f*cking HUGE. So is Halo.
October 10th, 2006

Good luck fighting off all the nerds, sir.
October 10th, 2006
(0)
most excellent
October 10th, 2006
(0)
5, -1 for not using CN tower in smaller scale images. us canadians can't make the scale comparisons if we can only reference the empire state building
October 10th, 2006
(0)
not to mention you didn't even include unicron... what's wrong with you??
October 10th, 2006
(0)
sweet
October 10th, 2006
(0)
Godzilla is that much bigger than the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man? I am skeptical, good sir...
October 10th, 2006
(0)
It was cool stuff but the music didn't fit and the clips went by too fast. Give us a chance to soak everything in!!! But content was cool.
October 10th, 2006
(0)
Yow, poor borg-cube, would be painfull to encounter the deathstar for them.
October 10th, 2006
(0)

I demand the Monolith!
October 10th, 2006
(0)

October 10th, 2006

The monolith can come in almost any size. Just compare TMA-1 (Luna) to TMA-2 (Jupiter)
October 10th, 2006
(0)
-1 cuz some of the pictures and text get cut off at the top and bottom, will five if you fix
October 10th, 2006

October 10th, 2006

If Halo is that big, are there any slides that show the comparative size of the planet Halo orbits?
October 10th, 2006
(0)
Mind blowing... only for star trek loving nerds like myself of course.
October 10th, 2006
(0)

i love that site.... visit it often.
October 10th, 2006
(0)
my god... thats glorious
October 10th, 2006
(0)
Hohoho. Just make it a bit slower. (Also, wasn't Mon Calamari the planet where Admiral Ackbar was from, rather than his ship?) It's a trap, also c*cks!
October 10th, 2006
(0)
5, would be fav'd if you included all the relatively unknown star destroyers such as the eclipse class and the....damn....s something soverign class?....sh*t im a nerd....
October 10th, 2006
(0)
" Hohoho. Just make it a bit slower. (Also, wasn't Mon Calamari the planet where Admiral Ackbar was from, rather than his ship?) It's a trap, also c*cks!" same thing he said and Akbars ship was the "Home One" and in case any of you were wondering i got a life a looong time ago, i just remember too much

5 for epic-ness, +5 for excellent sourcing. You win the internets.
October 10th, 2006
(0)
Agree with X605Scorpion about just putting the pixel size at the bottom rather than cutting back and forth. Btw you put a few extra scale slides in near the start. lol 4'ed for the attempt
October 10th, 2006
(0)
It's cool... even cooler that you pointed to the site.
October 10th, 2006

October 10th, 2006

October 10th, 2006
(0)
I can't decide if I hate this for plugging a website, or if I'm glad you gave credit rather than simply ripping stuff off. Therefore, I choose not to vote.
October 10th, 2006
(0)
Cool. A little bit of the top and bottom are cut off of my screen at the end. Could use the Halo ring and ships.

Where is Unicron?
January 10th, 2007
(0)
Could you by any chance include the Macross (SDF1) in the next edit? I'd ask you to put in the TARDIS as well, but it's about the size of a telephone booth, so there'd be little point in including it.
February 5th, 2007
