Too bad all existing Net Neutrality legislation is awful. But hey, I guess the Democrats can say they didn't read it. (same as with the Patriot Act)

Though I am a republican and will be no matter what, I put my internets before politics.

Most Republicans believe in trickle-down economics, which is the idea that by letting corporate America have an edge through tax cuts or similar edges, they will pass it down. Defeating net neutrality would be giving a tremendous edge to big corporations, thus why most Republicans would vote as they are. For the most part, it's black and white why each side would vote as they are, save for the one Republican that doesn't want to take away our internets.

of course repubs support this. It gets rid of big gov. While i hate republicans and big business more, i have to think that this law passing means nothing. In the end, NO COMPANY would commit the conspiracy that is being feared. If they did, EVERYONE would cancel their subscriptions. Its market suicide. BTW, big business is the problem the people are the solution. We should take a page from Karl Marx's Protege, and have a national strike until the world is better...that was random...Umm...im ending now

I fear this won't do what is clamed. Net nutrality is already protected as it is. This law would make that much better "IF" they knew what the Internet was. The Republicans think it's a series of tubes and the Democrats think Al Gore inveited it.

Epson, if you cancel your subscription to the net, you can’t use the net. The companies are in control, you have to pay them to use it or else you can’t, and if you pay them you are giving them the power to control it. It’s a no win, that’s why regulation is needed. Pure government control is bad. Pure private and corporate control is bad. You need both.

You sign onto another company, and if it does it too, there will be another to take its place once investors realize consumer interest in creating a new solution to the problem. The answer to this capitalism-generated woe is, ironically, capitalism.

Either way the government wins? But I think it's better if private companies are in charge.
