no, those are actually real bugs. I'm not sure about the magically appearing koopas, but the other stuff is completely possible.

1'd for not giving credit You don't need to land on the top of an enemy to kill it. As long as you're moving downward as you hit the enemy, you'll kill it. If you time it just right, sometimes you can even hit the bottom of the enemy. This is useful for killing enemies that seem to be too high to jump on.
