What's going to happen to that time capsule now that Nick Studios is gone? Andy Dufresne told me there was something burried in that time capsule that he wanted me to have.
January 15th, 2006
(0)
I hope that they kept that! :(

There - Nickolodeon Studios isn't dead yet. Are you happy?
January 15th, 2006
(0)
Well-made YTMND, but I was slumming it on Captain Planet and TMNT while you kids had your fancy shmancy "Nickelodeon." Bastards.
January 15th, 2006
(0)
Though I will admit that Invader Zim is a timeless comedy. I enjoyed that much, at least.
January 15th, 2006
(0)
And one more thing - I doubt that anyone will ever search for "2042." It's a bad keyword just for the reason of it being an unlikely search.
January 15th, 2006
(1)
Oh sh*t, forgot the Nick time capsule!!!!!1 Anyone remember what they put in there? I think they put rollerblades and MC Hammer cassette tapes in there or something.
January 15th, 2006
(0)
I remember when they put that in the ground.
January 15th, 2006
(2)
There's a black and white Gameboy in there.
January 15th, 2006
(0)
I asked about this in the other Nick ytmnd. I guess this answers what happened to the time capsule.
January 15th, 2006
(0)
LOL! I thought of this when I saw that other YTMND. I remember watching that special, thinking "I'll be 60...will I care?"
January 15th, 2006

January 16th, 2006
(1)
There'd better be some motherf*cking Stryper tapes in there or something or I'm gonna be pissed when I'm 64 or whatever.
June 25th, 2008
(1)
And if you say the word- I - could - stay -with - you. But will you still need me? Will you still feed me, when I'm 64?

"wtf is a prog? programs?" He's referring to "pogs", dumb ass. It what we played back in the day while your mom was busy f*cking the n*gger down the street. 5's
January 16th, 2006

I think the origianl nick shows were Doug, Rugrats, and Ren and Stimpy. Later in 94 Rocko and AAAAH! Real Monsters came.

But... everyone loves a slinky.
January 16th, 2006

January 16th, 2006

Pogs were like pokemon cards. Except when you got upset you could hit your opponent in the face with your "slammer." I had one 2 oz. slammer that I was particularly fond of.
January 16th, 2006
(0)
Cartoon Network mischievously put a Michigan J. Frog in the capsule as well!
January 16th, 2006
(0)
Can we pay in advance for the opening? I'm serious. I want to see it open, and the look on everyones faces when the Nickolodeon guys comes out and says "Ha! That thing is filled with water! we never closed it properly! Not only did we crush your childhood
January 16th, 2006
(0)
I was wondering about that
January 16th, 2006
(0)
36 more years... dear Christ I'll be near 60 by then. ;.; That's too long... I'm still crushed by this whole thing...
January 16th, 2006
(0)
Wow, I remember when they buried that. I'll be 57 when they finally dig it up. I hope I'm still alive then...
January 16th, 2006

January 16th, 2006

So, is it proper to say that Nickelodean pwned itself by tearing down the studios, but keeping the capsule? Is that like... a Time Paradox?
January 16th, 2006
(0)
I bet I'll be dead before I can see it opened :(
January 16th, 2006
(0)
Negative, InvaderMB. I would wager that all of the Nickelodeon executives got together and plotted this from day one. 36 years from now they will emerge from their cryogenic chambers and take over children's programming once again.
January 16th, 2006
(0)
;-; I cant wait.
January 16th, 2006
(0)
5 man, but sadly the time capsule is NOT ACTUALLY BURIED on that sight. A dude from Nickelodeon has even said so.
January 16th, 2006
(0)
Those filthy liars made a plaque saying that it was buried on that spot when it actually wasn't? Lawl.
January 16th, 2006
(0)
Im gonna cry, I will be 56 when that opens up... I think Nick planned incase the studio went to sh*t. thats why it said this was place by nickstudios in orlando florida.
January 16th, 2006
(1)
I miss pogs... I have like a 6 foot tube my dad made for me to hold all my pogs, and I had collector image changing pogs. sadly when I got the pog gun they dissapeared fast..
January 16th, 2006
(0)
I have decided that I will be there on that date whether there is a time capsule opening or not. I WILL BE THERE.
January 16th, 2006
(0)
I also had the Apollo 13 collectors pog tube and pogs from Hardees... Im gonna cry, those pogs and pog space ship was in prefect shape and the PVC ship made the pogs sealed from water. I can't find it anymore.

DFO: "I think the origianl nick shows were Doug, Rugrats, and Ren and Stimpy." Uh, not even close. Try Out of Control & Pinwheel...not to mention shows that essentially became Nickelodeon shows like You Can't Do That On Television

omg what?
January 16th, 2006
(0)
Doesn't anyone realize that Nickelodeon had gone totally downhill and only had show that sucked *ss for the past few years? Good riddence. They should have kept the good stuff, like Rocko and Doug.
January 16th, 2006
(1)
Stuff that's in there: A half pendant of life? A piece of the Cragg? A Wild and Crazy Kids or a Double Dare Tee? And more junk from 92.
January 16th, 2006
(0)
I'll be 51, I hope there's a whole bunch of new doug and rocko episodes in there, that would be awesome
January 16th, 2006

as long as kids put more of their items, and not sh*tty little pieces of paper with their thoughts in it, this time capsule may hold the salvation for our children.
January 16th, 2006

Maybe it'll hold the golden cartoons of the 90's, and cartoons will be rediscovered!

Pogs were those little round foam disks that you could put in a tube to collect them, shoot them out of a "pog gun", or throw 6 of them at a time like chinese throwing stars. ;) Good times...
January 16th, 2006
(0)
LOL. In 36 years, I don't think I'll even care about cartoons. But starting now, I WILL care.

January 16th, 2006
(0)
God, I remember that thing. I thought it was set for 2000. I guess that explains why it didn't get opened.
January 16th, 2006
(0)
I'm still a bit confused, if it Nickelodeon is shut down, why is it still runnign shows? (33 where I am). Also, wouldn't the people just dig it up and throw it out?

The ONLY good shows on Nick were You Can't Do tThat On Television, Count Duckula, Hey Dude and Salute Your Shorts. The nineties sucked for that channel. Hey Arnold, Rugrats, Keenan and Kell, All That, etc were GAY GAY GAY
(0)
And as someone else noted there was a huge amount of blacks on that channel. Its like every show was made in downtown darkest Africa. They should have taken that channel and changed its (the channel's) name to BET kids

optimusprime is right in that the 90's were weaker than the 80's, but he left out some good 80's stuff. I'm guessing what's in there is: A Vanilla Ice tape, a Genesis game, and some Skidz pants.
May 19th, 2006
(0)
that was under the geyser? wow, i wonder what's in there...

A time capsule was buried by the network in 1992 in front of Soundstage 18, however during late summer 2006 it was removed and replaced with a concrete slab. The time capsule was scheduled to be opened on April 30, 2042, 50 years after it was buried.
August 21st, 2006
(0)
i wonder if they are still gonna open the time capsule in 2042, or if its over. it still sucks that the place closed down and they removed the capsule from the ground... i remember when they did that... '*emo tear*'

Watch out when opening a Nickelodeon time capsule. You'll be hopin' for some sweet VHS copies of RoboCop or maybe a SEGA Genesis, and then- SLIMED!!! Those crafty motherf*ckers!
