Doom first level....METALLICA?!
This is the REAL music from the first level of Doom. Much of Doom's music was copied from other artists.

Clever. It'd be better if they were both in the same key.

It's no real secret that Romero liked Metalica, Slayer, Alice in Chains, etc, so Doom I and II are full of almost direct ripoffs.

From what I've heard, the guy who composed the Doom music was a former lawyer, and thusly knew the exact length of a song he could use before they'd have to pay the band. interesting trivia.

Pfft, the Doom versions were catchier and better done anyway. They deserve the rights to any melody any metal song makes.

They both work, but this sound more like Master of Puppets to me.

"They both work, but this sound more like Master of Puppets to me." - There is also a part in Master of Puppets that resembles E1M1. Also, E1M1 changes key several times; at one point, it's in the same key as No Remorse.
