content server: last piece of the puzzle

You may have noticed in the last couple weeks it's become extremely slow to upload new sites during peak times, if it even works at all. This is due to me replacing all of the server hardware except for the content server.
I am currently getting quotes on the cost of a new server. I am also working out how I am going to raise the funds for it.
My guess is the cost will come out to around $8000 to $10000. I am currently running off 4 disks doing RAID 10, but the machine only has 1GB of RAM. The new server I'm speccing out will have 12 SATA 2 drives (as opposed to SATA 1) and 8GB of RAM. I am hoping this will scale enough for the time being until some sort of an increased cash flow comes to ytmnd.
I may do a fundraiser at some point to gather the money to pay for it, I have to figure out how much I can put on a credit card and pay off with ad revenue over the next month.
What this means is that until the server is replaced, shit's going to be slow. With www and the db server replaced we got a huge increase in traffic, and it's really taking it's toll on the content server.
So stop making: sites with screenshots of websites, sites making fun of people you know, sites that use the fail at life music, sites that arent funny, etc.
