Thanks for all the kind words, guys. I'd love to see more like this. I absolutely love the idea of high resolution .GIF files - it's just a shame Windows Vista and 7 removed support for active wallpapers using HTML and GIF. There's no way to really view these as a wallpaper. I think the closest you can get is making it a video file, then using desktop wallpaper features of a video player like VLC. I have a strong belief that quality "HD" YTMND's like this can bring a big following back to this great site. The kicker is that the size on this YTMND is no larger than the average YTMND - because most people simply do not bother to compress their work!

This was captured from my blu-ray disc using AnyDVD to beat the encryption and allow me to play using Media Player Classic HD. I strung them all together with CS5 afterwards and tweaked compression and brightness to reduce blackness artifacts. Using Photoshop for .GIFs is INSANELY easy and I highly recommend googling a tutorial and using that instead of any GIF making software. Furthermore, it's always a good idea to run your audio through dbpoweramp or another program to compress it when uploading.

The funniest part of the whole thing? The ending scene is fairly long, has A LOT of frames, of course. Towards the end, Deniro actually blinks when he's supposed to be dead. Guess they missed it in post processing, but easily noticeable on the blu-ray edition of the film.

Thanks for the favorites and comments!
