If preloader doesn't load the foreground, sit tight. It'll start. Utilizing an animated png for gradient transparency on top of an animated gif. First time I tried using an animated png so if there's any problems, let me know. Should work fine in most browsers. There's a couple cut-off problems, but ah well, good enough.

I need to start working with animated PNGs. Good work here.

Although the effect is cool, using an MP3 for sound would improve load time--syncing isn't absolutely crucial here.

was just about to see if apngs worked

nice to see they do. IE and webkit (Safari and Chrome) users will be out of luck, though. FF and Opera support it. you can make the first frame "FUCK YOU GET A BROWSER WITH APNG SUPPORT" or something similar if are worried.

Beautiful. It's really a shame it's under 4. Most people don't understand what's happening, they just see pretty lights.
