or just open the ytmnd in mozilla, right click, view page info, media, scroll to the item next to Media, right click, copy, open in new browser, then save. this only works with ytmnds not in that new flash format

How do you download it after putting it into the url?

I recommend Audacity for your audio editor. Open source (= free) and roughly similar to Cool Edit.

People who don't know how to rip music shouldn't rip music. By sharing secret knowledge you betray the essence of YTMND. How DARED you.

Good work. Teach those n00bs a lesson.

I was going to do this. I have in fact used all of these methods in the past to get a lot of my sound, including those for YTMND Tournament and Scurvy Pedophiles. Audacity has allowed me to edit the sound to my choosing.

YOU LOSE. Fl Studio is the photoshop of music. And now you don't have to rip music, THE YTMND PROFILE SITE WILL GIVE IT TO YOU. CLICK ON SOUND ORIGIN DUMBf*ck.
August 4th, 2006
(0)
slight you might notice the missing sound origin link in some ytmnds. go back to hell you worthless downvoter.

Very helpful: but are the programs you used free? Could you provide links to them in the description?
August 14th, 2006

For the recording from the computer, you can also use audition (I guess the same as wavenow) and hit the record button on there, with the mic. settings as 'line in' or 'stereo' or whatever it is.
August 15th, 2006

Cool Edit? Sorry, I use Adobe Audition. Great job with the YTMND though.
August 17th, 2006
(0)
nice job, a written version would be easier so you don't miss anything and have to wait for the whole ytmnd to restart all over again. 5 ^.^

didn't know that .wavs looped up, thanks hahaha.
August 29th, 2006

You clearly have no idea what you're talking about. First of all you do not need any special program for "recording from your sound card", Windows Sound Recorder ("sndrec32") would do. Simply run "sndvol32 /r" and select the appropriate audio input source. Second, there are programs that are designed to detect audio tempo and extract loops. Adobe Audition (formerly CoolEdit) does not do this. Please get a clue before lecturing others on what to do. Have a GREAT day.

"The Photoshop of music." yeah, so much so that it got bought out and now it's Adobe Audition, not Cool Edit. 'natch.
