The Charizard Card had but ONE weakness
This one will take some splainin'. In the old game, Charizard was the most powerful pokemon card to own. But Blastoise is the only one that can kill it in one shot. If you had attached 5 Water Energy and used Hydro Pump and do it before Blastoise died!

Only one to kill it in 1 shot? O RLY? Chansey's Double Edge+4 Pluspowers=120 DAMAGE. OWNT. Anyways, the true weakness is the fact that it can attack every 2 turns once at best. :-p

there was one other method as well. If you played Gastly and used Destiny Bond just as Charizard attacks. It will not only kill off your Gastly, but Charizard dies with it.

At maximum power, they are equal and it comes down to who attacks first, but blastoise's pokemon power means that it will usually attatch enough energy in a few turns, especially if your deck is purely water. Also, once you have all the energy attached, it stays until he's KOed whereas charizard needs to charge up, requiring insane amounts of energy. One way around this is to team charizard with venusaur, who can use his pokemon power to transfer grass energy to charizard who can use his pokemon power to

Yeah, there are many workarounds to trashing Charizard. Another is you call Gastly and just before he Fire Spins, cast Destiny Bond. If he is stupid enough, he faints himself. I believe also there is an item that causes the enemy to De-Evolve on level. You can use that and kill him in Charmeleon form.

It does 40 damage + 20 for 2 water energy, making 60. Then Water is doubled vs Charizard due to weakness. That 60 becomes 120.

I would have given a higher rating if it wasnt for the 1 after the word "blastoise" in the site itself, since "!!!!1"s are a clear sign of NARVS or in games, N00BS.
