Elizabeth Swann (Keira Christina Knightley OBE) is a fictional character in the Pirates of the Caribbean film series. She appears in The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003), Dead Man's Chest (2006), At World's End (2007) and Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017). She is portrayed by Keira Knightley in all four films. Elizabeth is the daughter of Weatherby Swann, the wife of Will Turner and the mother of Henry Turner.
Born in London to actors Will Knightley and Sharman Macdonald, Keira Christina Knightley OBE obtained an agent at age six and initially worked in commercials and television films. Following a minor role as Sabé in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999), her breakthrough came when she played a tomboy footballer in Bend It Like Beckham (2002) and co-starred in Love Actually (2003). She achieved global recognition for playing Elizabeth Swann in the Pirates of the Caribbean film series (2003–2007).
